Jelly Roll is celebrating a big fitness milestone.
After losing about 70 pounds, the Grammy-nominated country singer, 39, on Tuesday completed a 5K race in California hosted by comedians Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the event, Jelly Roll said he got "really emotional" at the finish line.
"I couldn't walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January," the "Need a Favor" singer said, adding that he feels "really, really good" about finishing the race. "I left here feeling really motivated." He also revealed to ET that he plans to participate in a half marathon next year.
Jelly Roll's wife, Bunnie XO, celebrated his accomplishment with an Instagram video showing him in a cold plunge. "What a beautiful day w/ beautiful ppl!" she wrote. "So proud of my baby doing the 5k & losing 50 lbs to do it!"

The 2 Bears 5K was presented by the Netflix is a Joke comedy festival and tied to Kreischer and Segura's "2 Bears, 1 Cave" podcast. After the comedians put out the call for listeners and celebrities to participate in the race, Jelly Roll agreed to do so in January.

"I believe in myself," he said in an Instagram video that showed him exercising outdoors, noting that he was "in the woods walking every morning."
By April, Jelly Roll told People that he had lost "70-something pounds" while preparing for the event. "I'm doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week," he said. "I'm doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I'm eating healthy right now." He added that he was feeling "really good" and planned on losing "another 100, 100-and-something (pounds)."

That same month, Bunnie XO shared on the podcast "Dumb Blonde" that her husband "got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his" weight.
"And that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby," she said. "My husband doesn't show it to you guys, but I'm going to have a very vulnerable moment here. It hurts him."
Jelly Roll later told Variety that it "wasn't just bullying" that led him to leave social media.
"It was not only the toxicity of social media, but the addiction of it," he told the outlet. "I was becoming too busy to waste hours of my life scrolling. I can honestly say that I’ve been off social media for a few months now and I’ve never felt better or healthier mentally — never felt more clearheaded."
